The
Thermo Scientific Hybridization Incubator with a broad temperature range of 7°C
above ambient to 85°C requires less probe, producing a better signal at a lower
cost. The temperature deviation indicator allows temperature range monitoring so
procedures are not compromised.
Product Detail
The Thermo Scientific Hybridization Incubator is available in small, medium and dual chamber sizes to accommodate various workloads. It is ideal for Northern (RNA), Southern (DNA) and Western (Protein) blots.
Small, Medium and Dual Chambers
Small and medium sized units can be stacked with the stacking plate accessory to save space.
Optional undercounter mounting bracket is available for the small unit.
Dual chamber includes two carousels.
Exterior is durable, painted steel; interior is stainless steel.
Tempered low-beta-emission glass door allows you to view the hybridization tubes without disturbing the chamber atmosphere.
Carousel Design and Speed Control
Carousel and stainless steel, corrosion-resistant drip tray (both included) are easy to remove for cleaning and decontamination.
Carousel accommodates tubes ranging in size from 35mm ID x 100mm to 300mm long.
Optional carousel is available to hold 70mm ID x 300mm long tubes.
Jog setting advances the carousel so you can easily load and unload hybridization tubes.
Carousel is offset so the membrane can be coated uniformly with hybridization solution, resulting in sharp bands.
Variable speed control is from less than 5 to 15 rpm within ±1 rpm for uniform solution distribution and complete membrane wetting.
Carousel’s Gentle-Clip tube grips hold tubes securely, yet are easy to open for easy loading and unloading.
Simple menu option allows access to temperature deviation during a run to ensure the hybridization protocol is not compromised.
User-calibratable temperature offset permits manual temperature adjustment so the display matches the actual temperature. Actual temperature and set points are digitally displayed.
Precise microprocessor-based PID temperature control is from 7°C above ambient to 85°C with 0.1°C resolution.
High temperature safety prevents the temperature from exceeding the high limit, protecting your samples.
Forced-air circulation maintains excellent temperature uniformity of ±0.5°C at 55°C in the chamber or ±0.25°C sample to sample.
Heat up time of ambient to 65°C is less than 20 minutes.
Recovery time at 37°C with the door opened for 30 seconds is less than 2 minutes.
