  Puffer Hubbard Flammable Material Refrigerators and Freezers


Designed to ensure maximum safety for storage of flammable and volatile materials, our Puffer Hubbard Refrigerators, Combination Refrigerator/Freezer Cabinets, and -20°C Freezers meet NFPA and OSHA standards and are UL listed. All flammable material storage cabinets feature CFC-free, foamed-in-place cabinet insulation, hermetically sealed refrigeration compressors, and adjustable temperature control.

Cabinet Construction and Inventory System: Heavy-gauge steel cabinets feature a corrosion-resistant interior that is spark proof and easy to clean. CFC-free, foamed-in-place urethane insulation helps minimize operating cost. Non-sparking magnetic door gasket(s) is included on all models. Keyed lock door is standard on 586L models. Adjustable leveling feet are standard. Exterior is finished with white acrylic, scratch-resistant coating.

Inventory System: Interior shelving includes door storage shelves. Combination refrigerator/freezer models include slide-out bulk storage drawer.

Refrigeration System: Compressors are quiet and hermetically sealed. CFC-free refrigerants are standard. Manual defrost system is standard on all models; A built-in defrost drain is included on the 14.5 cu. ft (411 L) and 20.7 cu. ft. (586 L) models.

Electrical: Power cord and plug are provided for models with 120 V, 60 Hz operation, NEMA 5-15R/5-15P.

Flammable material refrigerators and freezers are designed for storage of volatile materials but are not intended for use in hazardous areas. All models meet OSHA standards and applicable UL requirements. Access ports, casters and extra shelving are not available for flammable storage units.

This product is intended for basic laboratory use only. Storage of high-value life science materials or critical biologicals may require alarm, monitoring, backup and temperature performance features. The need to add these features should be determined by your industrial hygienist or safety officer. Not suitable for corrosive environments.
