PSB104 Normalized Collision Energy™ Technology

Normalized Collision Energy technology automatically compensates for the mass-dependent energy deposition characteristics of ion trap mass spectrometers in MS/MS experiments. By optimizing the collision energy over the range of m/z values, it ensures that good MSn data are collected, regardless of the mass of the analyte. This is especially useful in Data Dependent experiments where compounds may have widely different masses. In addition, Normalized Collision Energy generates data that is reproducible from instrument to instrument. When used with WideBand Activation, it enables the building, searching, and exchanging of spectral libraries.
